Here we are before taking off on the plane to head to Qatar. We look much better here than we did at the end of the trip!

Welcome!

Hello! Well, this is my first attempt at creating a blog. We are thousands of miles away from our families and friends -- although we do have some friends in Qatar. We don't have our digital camera software downloaded to our computer yet so pictures will come later. But I at least wanted to start the blog site.

Notable events for the day -- I have a maid!! Thaju reported this morning at 8:30. He will clean for us once a week -- every Friday. I am going to enjoy this luxury while I can because I know I won't get this back in Texas.

It is still cool here. They say every 20 years Qatar has a cold spell like what is occurring. Lucky me that it occurred this year.....
